Nearby Excursions-Brac

The nearby island of Brac makes a great day excursion.  Boats are available from the harbor in Jelsa several days a week for the short journey to Brac.  It is about a half hour trip and leaves typically at 11 AM and returns at 4:30P.  The boats dock in the town of Bol.  There are numerous shops and restaurants and cafes along the harbor.  The 2 km walk to the famous Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape) beach is a fabulous marble path lined with stalls and marble sculptures of various sea creatures punctuate the promenade.
